Around 1.12 million devotees visit Manakamana every year.

The old temple of Manakamana Mai, built in the pagoda style, is believed to have been built in the 17th century.

Situated at an altitude of 1,303 meters above sea level, the temple premises offer a view of Mahabharata Lake and Chimkeshwari Mountain to the south, as well as the peaks of the Annapurna and Manaslu Mountains to the north.

The Manakamana Temple, which can be reached by a 3 to 4-hour uphill trek from Aabukhaireni in Tanahun. It can also be easily reached by cable car and motorable road.
