KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a warning due to the intensifying monsoon winds across the country.

According to the latest update, weather conditions have escalated significantly in several provinces.

Currently, Bagmati, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and parts of Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing scattered showers along with lightning.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain cloudy nationwide, with widespread chances of moderate rain and lightning strikes.

Moreover, heavy rainfall is expected in isolated areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in some spots in Karnali Province.

Tonight, cloudy conditions will persist nationwide, with possibilities of moderate rain and lightning in certain areas.

Given the potential for very heavy rainfall in parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Department has advised taking precautionary measures against potential disasters such as landslides, flash floods, and erosion.
