KATHMANDU: The Bodies of two pilgrims who had gone missing on Sunday while bathing at the holy pilgrimage site of Gosaikunda have been recovered.
Officers and soldiers of the Nepali Army’s Srinath Battalion, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force were deployed to Gosaikunda on Sunday to search for the missing person.
According to the Nepali Army, the bodies will be handed over to the Nepal Police.
According to District Police Chief Hem Bahadur Shahi, the missing persons have been identified as Sujan Dhakal, aged around 28, from Biratnagar, Morang district, and Manoj Neupane, from Belwari, Morang.
It is believed that they may have drowned after entering the pond from a deep place to bathe.
