Communications Minister stresses on political stability for development

KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said political stability is essential for the nation’s development.

Speaking at a programme organised on 34th anniversary of the Centre for Self-Help Development here today, Minister Gurung said two major political parties decided to form the coalition government for the ’cause’ of nation’s development and prosperity.

As he claimed, the country has a stable government at present, urging entrepreneurs to explore further opportunities being connected to economic prosperity and development.

On the occasion, the Minister conferred the Micro Entrepreneurship Development Award carrying a purse of Rs 200,000 to the Chhimek Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CBBL).

Likewise, lawmaker Yogendra Mandal, also an entrepreneur, was awarded with the Shankarman Shrestha Microfinance Award, carrying a purse of Rs 200,000.

Similarly, Bimala Tharu, Jamuna Ghimire and Asha Budha Magar bagged the Best Microfinance Entrepreneur Award with the cash prize of Rs 50,000 each.
