KATHMANDU: Chairman of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has said that it was necessary to go for elections in order to end the current political crisis.
Speaking at the “Ba Sanga Vidyarthi Program (Students with Oli)” organized by All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) on Friday in Damak, he clarified that the UML decided to participate in the elections to free the country from the crisis it is facing.
He said that UML will not run away from elections and that the party has focused nationwide on the upcoming polls.
Chairman Oli also said that UML will emerge as the largest political force in the upcoming elections and will find solutions to the problems facing the country.
Former Prime Minister and Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that any kind of election fraud would not be acceptable to UML.
He accused the government of not appearing serious about ensuring that the elections are conducted in a fair and fraud-free manner.
During the program, he urged young people not to fall for misinformation spreading through various channels and encouraged them to work toward exposing such false narratives.
At the event, young students asked Chairman Oli various questions regarding the election and national development.
Responding to their queries, he said that the role and actions of any political party are determined by its principles, programs, and agenda.
He also suggested that the programs and principles of the UML should be communicated to the public.
