KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders has reported that the price of gold has surged to a historic peak today, with a rate of NPR 153,100 per tola (Wednesday).
This is a notable increase from August 21, when the price was NPR 153,000.
Compared to Tuesday, when gold was valued at NPR 152,300 per tola, today’s price reflects a rise of NPR 800.
In contrast, silver prices have remained steady at NPR 1,855 per tola today, a slight increase from NPR 1,850 yesterday.
