KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has announced that the current weather in Nepal is being influenced by monsoon air.

The Division reports a significant and widespread change in weather conditions nationwide. In Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati provinces, and parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, there have been reports of light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, skies are expected to be mostly cloudy across the country, with a possibility of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in many areas.

There is also a chance of heavy rainfall in isolated spots within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Additionally, heavy rain could occur in certain areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, Nepal is forecasted to experience predominantly cloudy conditions with expected light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in various regions.
