KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Indonesia by 370 runs in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s U16 East Zone Cup 2025 on Sunday at Selangor Turf Club, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Batting first, Nepal scored 420 runs in the stipulated 50 overs in 5 wickets with the help of Prashiddha Jaishi’s century and Parimarjan Yadav, Raunak Srivastav and Joy Thapa’s half centuries each.
Jaishi scored 132 runs, Srivastav 88, Yadav 71, Thapa 57, Sugam Budhathoki 39, Roshan Shahi 10 and Shiwansh Bajgain scored 4 runs.
Indonesia’s I Ketut Darma Putra P took two wickets, whereas Kavin Neeraj Chadda, Mahendra Aji Yuda Pratama and Rayhan Riza Athaila K took single wickets each.
In response, Indonesia scored only 50 runs before being all out in 24.3 overs. Indonesia’s Kavin Neeraj Chadda hit the highest 15 runs, and Divit Nanda scored 14 runs.
No other Indonesian batsmen have succeeded in scoring runs in double digits.
During the chase of a pile target, Indonesia’s I Kadek Pican Mada M, Dalva Effendi Helga, Mahendra Aji Yuda Pratama and Samuel Logo Huki failed to score even a single run.
To wrap Indonesia in just 50 runs, Nepal’s Bipin Prasad Sharma took 6 wickets alone. Sugam Budhathoki and Shubham Khanal took a single wicket each.
