KATHMANDU: No match has been scheduled for today, the seventh day of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025.
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the organiser of the franchise-based Twenty20 tournament, had earlier announced in match fixtures that today would be a rest day.
The contest will resume tomorrow i.e. Monday with two matches at the regular venue, the Tribhuvan University (TU) International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur.
The first match to begin at 11:45 am will involve a contest between defending champions Janakpur Bolts and high-flying Biratnagar Kings, who have registered two consecutive wins. Similarly, the second match, a day-night one, will start at 4:00 pm between Karnali Yaks and Sudurpaschim Royals.
As per the current standings in the points table, Sudurpaschim Royals and Biratnagar Kings have collected four points each from two matches. But Sudurpachim are in the top position with a better run-rate. Meanwhile, Kathmandu Gokhas, who have played three matches, are in third place with two points.
A total of eight franchise-based teams are competing in the NPL involving a winner prize of 11 million rupees. Teams in the fray include Janakpur Bolts, Sudurpaschim Royals, Karnali Yaks, Pokhara Avengers, Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Gorkhas and Lumbini Lions.
The final will be held on December 13.
