KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki met with Santosh Bohara, a wounded person in the Gen Z revolt, who lost both of his eyes and is currently undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital.
PM Karki reached the hospital and took stock of his health condition and treatment progress. On the occasion, she also talked with the family members of wounded Bohara.
A resident of Birendranagar municipality-2 in Surkhet, Bohara got bullet injuries during the Gen Z movement on September 9 in Surkhet.
Santosh’s father Chandra Bahadur demanded action against those who shot at Santosh during the protest.
He expressed worry over the way their helping hand was made helpless as Santosh was made unable to work lifelong.
Consoling the family, PM Karki said, “I can understand the pains you are undergoing as we are also parents. I can feel the depth of love to one’s offspring. What you are facing is not only your problem. We will ensure all options for treatment. We will also take initiative for the education of the children and job for the spouse of the wounded. Please, do not worry.”
