KATHMANDU : Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged one and all to move ahead with firm determination to fulfill the national aspirations of peace, prosperity and good governance.
In a message today on the occasion of the Tihar festival along with Mha Pooja, Nepal Sambat 1146, Chhath and other festivals, the PM has extended her best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad.
“It is our unique culture to remain united in hard times. So, let’s all get united to build a bright future of new Nepal by ending frustrations and darkness without remaining in any illusion,” PM Karki mentioned in her message of best wishes.
PM Karki stated that the incumbent government was working to create conducive environment for holding elections with the promise to give a stable government within six months and noted that political dialogue and situation of law and order were advancing satisfactorily.
Likewise, the PM said that the key responsibilities of the current government are to hold elections on March 5, 2026 in a free, fair and fearless manner; take firm steps against corruption and conduct a fair investigation on suppression and violence happened in the Gen-Z protests of September 8 and 9.
PM Karki added that the government was formed to abide by inclusive, transparent and responsive governance by respecting the responsibility bestowed by the Gen-Z protests. “The foundation for good governance and development aspired by the great Gen-Z protests of September is also prepared in this time,” the PM stated.
The PM has noted that these festivals are the symbol of hope, trust and prosperity in life. She said these festivals approaching along with the lights of the Deepawali are celebrated as the symbol of victory of brightness over darkness, hope over frustration and justice over injustice.
