KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has cautioned against making unsubstantiated accusations directed at Deputy Speaker Indira Rana.
During Sunday’s session of the House of Representatives (HoR), RSP parliamentarian Sumana Shrestha cautioned the Nepali Congress (NC) about leveling such allegations against Rana.
Shrestha’s warning followed a demand from NC lawmaker Ramhari Khatiwada to investigate Deputy Speaker Rana.
“If we are discussing behavior, let’s apply the same standards to everyone. Accusing someone of grave crimes like human trafficking without proof—is that just? What about others involved in matters such as the Bhutanese refugees?” she questioned.
