KATHMANDU : The Gurung community has been celebrating Tamu Lhosar , their New Year, today by organizing several programmes today. They have been celebrating the festival welcoming their New Year.

The Gurung community mark Tamu Lhosar as their New Year on Posh 15 every year. In the Gurung language, “Lho” stands for class and “sar” stand for change

The Gurungs in Kathmandu have been celebrating the festival organizing several programmes with a special programme at Tundikhel to mark their annual festival on Monday.

They are presented in Tundikhel attired in folk dress, exchanging greeting and feasting on traditional cuisine.
