KATHMANDU: Minister for Urban Development Kulman Ghising has informed that construction of the Federal parliament building has been intensified in a way to convene the first parliamentary meeting after the House of Representatives (HoR) election to be held on coming March 5.
Sharing information about the progress of under-construction parliamentary building at the meeting of the National Assembly, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee today, he said works are taking place in a pace.
“We have engaged our efforts in a way to enable the first parliament meeting after the election from the new building. Progress is being routinely monitored by putting in place a mechanism. Works are being carried out based on the information and recommendations from construction side and consultants”, the minster informed.
Secretary at the Ministry Gopal Prasad Sigdel said ‘civil work’ of most of the buildings among 12 has been completed and interior design of the buildings is being done.
