114 persons airlifted by Nepali Army and private company

KATHMANDU: Total 114 persons affected by the Bhotekoshi flash flood have been rescued with the mobilization of helicopters belonging to the Nepali Army (NA) and private companies.

The Nepal Police shared the information that NA helicopter picked 85 persons waiting for rescue following the disaster since Wednesday morning. Similarly, the private helicopters airlifted 29 stranded ones to safety.

Those airlifted by the NC chopper were from Timure-Dhunche (60), Timure-Trishuli (13), Mailung (5), Betrawati (4) and Trishuli-Kathmandu (3).

The Kailash Helicopter airlifted five from Rasuwa to Teaching Hospital, while the Simrik picked three from Rasuwa, the Annapurna four from Rasuwa to Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu.

The Prabhu Helicopter brought five persons to safety, the Fishtail ferried two others from Rasuwa, the Everest airlifted five from Rasuwa to Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu, and Prabhu Heli three from Rasuwa to Bir Hospital, Kathmandu.
