RASUWA: Total 133 dead bodies have been recovered so far from various places in the district following the catastrophic Bhotekoshi flash flood occurred a week ago.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ashok Thapa, shared information that 104 bodies were collected from Timure alone, while 18 from Syabrubenshi and Ronga area, and 11 from Betrawati area. As the dead bodies began emanating stench, efforts are underway to take these to Bidur of Nuwakot for the management, Thapa added.
Meanwhile, the rescuers have faced difficulty in scouring inside Rasuwagadhi Hydropower (111-MW) tunnel because the debris and sludge deposited into the tunnel were getting cemented, according to Brigadier General Prajjwal Rana from Brigade-6 of Nepali Army.
However, rescue works in the Chilime Hydropower Project (20-MW) at Syabrubenshi is underway, the Nepali Army added.
