DHADING: Police have arrested 29 people after they allegedly broke open a bank safe swept away by floodwaters in Dhading and recovered Rs92.68 million in cash.
A joint team of the Armed Police Force and Nepal Police detained the suspects and recovered Rs92,68,505 from them, APF spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa said.
The safe was swept away by the river during the recent flooding and was later found in Dhading. The suspects allegedly broke it open and took the cash before being intercepted by security personnel.
