KATHMANDU: The Survey Office in Dhanusha has distributed land ownership certificates to 385 families in ward 8 of Sabaila Municipality, five years after the initial land survey was completed.
The residents, formerly of the Thila Village Development Committee, have now officially secured legal ownership of the land they have been occupying for years.
The distribution process had been delayed for a significant period due to low public participation required for the land registration process.
Following the completion of necessary administrative procedures, the Survey Office finally issued the titles.
Previously, the same office had distributed 3,226 land ownership certificates to families in wards 4, 5, 6, and 10 of the same municipality.
