KATHMANDU: Around 4,500 representatives are expected to participate in the national convention of the dissident faction within the Nepali Congress. The convention is being organized by a committee led by senior Congress leader Dr. Shashank Koirala and is scheduled to take place from August 13 to 15.
Mina Bishwakarma, coordinator of the publicity and outreach subcommittee, said preparations for the gathering have been completed. “All preparations for the convention have been completed,” Bishwakarma said. He added that about 4,500 delegates from across the country are expected to attend. “We have set specific criteria for participation, and based on those standards, around 4,500 representatives will take part in the convention,” he said.
