KATHMANDU: The Airport Air Passenger Transport Service Management Limited has reported providing transportation services to more than 1.3 million domestic and international passengers annually.
The company operates day and night transport services from Tribhuvan International Airport to help passengers and tourists reach their initial destinations. According to company chairman Purushottam Simkhada, the service caters to approximately 4,000 passengers daily.
The company currently operates with 208 tourist vehicles. Chairman Simkhada stated that providing organized transport services to travelers landing at Tribhuvan International Airport helps make their stay in Nepal more convenient and pleasant.
He added that the company is continuously working to make its services more organized, safe, and effective in response to the growing number of tourists.
However, he noted that professional operators are facing challenges due to private vehicles illegally transporting passengers for hire. Established in 2010, the company currently provides employment to over 450 self-employed drivers and staff members.
