KATHMANDU: Nepal lost to Pakistan in the group stage match of men’s kabaddi in the 20th Asian Games currently under way in Japan. This is Nepal’s second consecutive defeat in the tournament.
In the first game on Monday, Nepal lost to Thailand 59–48. In today’s group match at Japan’s Tokai Citizen Gymnasium, Nepal was defeated by Pakistan 58–43.
Nepal lost the first half of the game 17–30, and in the second half, they fell behind again 26–28. While Nepal scored a total of 43 points in both halves, Pakistan amassed 58 points, securing a 15-point win. Nepal will play their next group stage match against Iran today.
