MYAGDI: The district authority here has tightened the rule on collection of monetary aid for the support of Bhotekoshi flash flood survivors. The relief collection (monetary) would not be allowed except in a government account.
An all-stakeholders meeting held at the District Administration Office on Monday decided to collect financial assistance only in government account. Political parties, security agencies and representatives attending the meeting agreed for depositing relief amount in the authorized account the government has made public.
Assistant chief district officer Kulraj Acharya urged everyone not to deposit money for assistance to the flood survivors except in government account or QR code. The meeting also decided to first make a check list of the humanitarian aid and receive it later. It was decided for managing the relief- monetary and in-kind and curbing the misuse, according to Acharya.
Meanwhile, the district recorded two persons still missing in the flood while three others out-of-contact were able to establish contact with families.
The Gulmi people unaccounted for since the disaster are Bhupendra Regmi, 25, from Malika Rural Municipality-4 and Parbin Purja from Khoriya of Dhawalagiri Municipality-2.
Those come in contact are Tirtha BK from Kirchaur of Mangala Rural Municipality-5, and Tika Bahadur Purja and Pradip Purja from Khoriya of Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-2.
They were working at Trisuli A Hydropower project in Rasuwa.
