HETAUDA: The Bagmati Provincial Assembly is scheduled to meet on August 17 at 1:00 pm, according to a notice issued by the Provincial Assembly Secretariat in Hetauda.
The meeting, which will be held under the ongoing eighth session of the assembly, will see Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya table a motion seeking a vote of confidence, said Secretariat spokesperson Prakash Chapagain.
According to Chapagain, Baniya will present the confidence motion in accordance with Article 188(2) of the Constitution of Nepal and Rule 143 of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Rules, 2074 BS.
He said the Speaker fixed the date and time of the meeting under Rule 6 of the Provincial Assembly Rules for deliberations on the confidence motion.
