LAMJUNG: The Besisahar–Chame road linking Lamjung and Manang will remain completely closed today from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The road stretch will not be operated today to carry out road paving works at Naso Rural Municipality–3, Dharapani in Manang.
Chief District Officer of Manang, Mukti Prasad Khanal informed that the 135-MW Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Project is paving about 50 meters of road in the Dharapani area.
There is no chance of alternative arrangement for road traffic as it is narrowed with houses on both sides, he said.
“The road therefore will be fully closed during the paving”, CDO Khanal said. From 5:00 pm today until 10:00 am Sunday, operation of heavy vehicles will not be allowed, it is stated.
