KATHMANDU: A devastating flood in Bhote Koshi River has resulted in 1,127 recovered bodies as of Wednesday morning.
Most fatalities occurred in Chitwan, Nawalparasi East, Nawalparasi West, Nuwakot and Gorkha, with nine bodies recovered in India.
Authorities have completed inquest reports for 1,113 bodies and handed over 95 to families.
Police have uploaded details of 911 unidentified bodies to their official website.
Over 7,900 police personnel are currently deployed for rescue, relief and body management.
Teams have rescued 6,541 individuals and are searching for 4,858 missing people.
