KATHMANDU: A total of 5,285 people remain missing following the floods in Bhote Koshi.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 1,451 bodies have been recovered so far, while two additional people died while undergoing medical treatment.
Authorities have rescued 13,795 people from the affected areas. Among those rescued, 1,113 individuals are currently taking shelter in 21 holding centres, including 187 in Nuwakot, 805 in Rasuwa and 121 in Dhading.
The authority has collected DNA samples from 2,060 people for identification purposes. Seven people injured in the floods are still receiving medical care, and security agencies have provided health services to 10,988 individuals.
