KATHMANDU: Twenty-six policemen have gone missing after the flash flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
According to Central Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General Abi Narayan Kafle, this many police personnel from the police units in Timure, Syafrubesi, Simle, and Mailung in Rasuwa are out of contact.
During the search and rescue after the flood, eight bodies have been found in Nuwakot and Dhading. The immense flood has caused major damage to settlements, bridges, and road infrastructure in the Bhotekoshi riverside areas.
Efforts are underway to collect details of the damage.
