KATHMANDU: The Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa has swollen again, prompting the local administration to call on residents in downstream areas to remain alert.
Rasuwa Assistant Chief District Officer Drupa Prasad Adhikari said the river level rose after another surge of water entered the Bhotekoshi through the Lhende River.
According to RSS correspondent Saraswati Neupane, who reported the development by telephone, Adhikari urged people living along the riverbanks to exercise caution and take necessary measures to protect lives and property.
The latest rise comes just days after a major flood on August 26, when water entering the Bhotekoshi through the Lhende River caused extensive loss of life and property in Rasuwa and downstream districts, including Nuwakot and Dhading.
