KATHMANDU: The Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry has provided financial assistance of Rs 1,501,101 for the rescue and relief of citizens affected by the floods in Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi area.
Chamber President Hari Prasad Gautam said a cheque equivalent to the amount was deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund today.
The chamber, which has been supporting communities affected by natural disasters and crises in the past, has urged government agencies, various organizations and the general public to contribute from their respective sectors to provide immediate relief and necessary assistance to families who have suffered loss of life and property due to the floods.
