KATHMANDU: The meeting of both houses of the federal parliament is being held today.
There is a possible agenda to submit a proposal to consider various bills in the meeting of the House of Representatives to be held at 1:00 PM in the Singha Durbar.
The Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is scheduled to introduce the ‘Mines and Minerals Bill, 2026’ for approval. Additionally, Minister Women Sita Badi will present the ‘Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2026.
Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal will also propose the ‘Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2026’ for discussion.
Concurrently, the National Assembly will meet at 1:15 PM, where Agriculture Minister Gita Chaudhary will present ‘Infectious Animal Disease (Control) Bill, 2026’ to be forwarded to the Legislation Management Committee for further deliberation.
