KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has formed a five-member committee to investigate Tuesday’s collision between two helicopters at Pheriche in Solukhumbu district.
An Air Dynasty helicopter (registration number 9N-AOD) and a Fishtail Air helicopter (9N-AJR) collided at Pheriche, killing one person and injuring two pilots and a passenger.
The committee, coordinated by CAAN Director Prabhakar Chandra Mallik, includes pilots and aircraft engineers.
It has been tasked with examining and analyzing the causes and contributing factors behind the accident and submitting a report with recommendations to prevent similar incidents in the future.
