KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi Autocorp has launched the ultra variant of the Changan Nevo Q05 in Pokhara.
The company is hosting a four-day test drive event at the Deepal showroom in Chauthe, Pokhara, running from Saturday until Oct. 6.
The Nevo Q05 ultra variant is priced at Rs 5.199 million. The compact electric SUV features a 2,735 mm wheelbase and utilizes 86.6 percent of the cabin space, designed to comfortably accommodate three adults in the rear.
It includes two reclining positions for rear seats at 28 and 33 degrees, a 540-litre dual-level boot, and 29 storage spaces. The vehicle also features over 67 sound insulation and noise reduction points, along with a 1.8-square-metre panoramic glass roof.
The design was developed by a team led by Klaus Zyciora, Changan’s vice president of global design and former Volkswagen design head. The model, which features a 0.265 Cd drag coefficient, Digital Wing 2.0 lighting, and semi-hidden door handles, has received the 2026 Golden A’ Design Award.
The SUV is equipped with CATL battery cells integrated with Changan’s Golden Shield Battery 2.0 technology. Its 3C fast charging system can charge the battery from 30 to 80 percent in approximately 15 minutes.
Powered by a 120 kW electric motor, the vehicle accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. It offers a driving range of up to 405 kilometres under WLTP testing, with energy consumption rated at 12.9 kWh per 100 kilometres. Interior technology includes a 14.6-inch 1080P touchscreen, an MTK8675 7-nanometer processor, and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The launch event was attended by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Shobha Gautam, former NADA President Dhruba Thapa, Deepal brand ambassador Pradeep Khadka, and senior officials from MAW Vriddhi Autocorp. MAW Vriddhi Autocorp is the authorized dealer for Changan Automobile in Nepal.
