KATHMANDU: China Bazar, a new e-commerce platform targeting Nepali consumers, is set to officially launch on August 29 (Shrawan 13), introducing a business model based on direct sourcing from Chinese manufacturers.
The company said it will procure products directly from factories in China and manage the entire supply chain—from import and warehousing to last-mile delivery—through its own logistics and distribution network.
According to Chief Executive Officer Stuti Shrestha, China Bazar will bypass third-party sellers and import agents by selecting and purchasing products directly from manufacturers. The goods will then be transported to Nepal through the company’s logistics network, stored in its own warehouses and delivered to customers via its in-house distribution system.
Shrestha said managing sourcing, imports, warehousing and distribution under a single operation is expected to reduce delivery times, improve cost efficiency and offer customers transparent and competitive pricing. The company also expects the integrated model to ensure more reliable service despite supply chain fluctuations.
In its initial phase, the platform will offer a range of electronics, fashion, lifestyle, health and beauty products, with plans to expand its product portfolio over time.
Customers will be able to make digital payments through eSewa and Khalti. The company said it will maintain adequate inventory at its own warehouses to support faster order fulfillment and dependable delivery services.
Citing Nepal’s expanding digital economy and growing trade ties with China, Shrestha said China Bazar aims to capitalize on rising demand for cross-border e-commerce. The company also plans to diversify its product offerings and expand its nationwide distribution network in the coming years.
China Bazar said the platform will officially begin operations through its website on August 29 (Shrawan 13).
