CHITWAN: Management of 333 dead bodies out of the 362 recovered in Chitwan is underway.
As part of the management, the district authority collected samples from 68 persons for DNA matching with those recovered dead.
According to the police, following the devastating flood in Bhotekoshi, authorities are working actively for the identification of the deceased ones found along the banks of the Trishuli and Narayani rivers.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bhushan Yadav from the District Police Office informed RSS that 362 bodies were collected in Chitwan district alone.
Out of these, 333 have been managed temporarily, while 14 handed over to the respective families after establishing verification. The process of collecting DNA samples for scientific identification was begun on September 1.
