KATHMANDU: The board of directors of Citizens Bank International Limited has proposed distributing a 4 percent dividend to its shareholders from the profits of the fiscal year 2025/26.
The proposed dividend will be implemented following approval from the Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the bank’s upcoming 20th annual general meeting.
According to the proposal, the bank will distribute bonus shares worth Rs 589.28 million, representing 3.80 percent of the paid-up capital of Rs 15.50 billion.
Additionally, a cash dividend of Rs 31.01 million, or 0.20 percent, has been proposed for tax purposes, bringing the total dividend distribution to Rs 620.29 million.
The bank, which commenced operations on April 20, 2007, has been consistently distributing dividends since the fiscal year 2008/09.
The bank stated that its average dividend rate over the past 20 years stands at 10.08 percent. With the latest proposal included, the average dividend rate for the last 10 years has reached 9.24 percent.
