KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has instructed party leaders and cadres not to engage in the gift exchange during festivals including Bada Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat, and Chhath festivals.
In a message of best wishes today on the occasion of Dashain, RSP General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya reminded party leaders and cadres of the party’s policy of discouraging the practice of giving and receiving festival gifts since its establishment.
“In politics, the goodwill, blessings, and trust of the citizens are the greatest gifts,” the General Secretary of the ruling party said, adding that selfless love, goodwill, and a sense of closeness are the core messages of the festival.
He also extended his best wishes to Nepalis both at home and abroad, while expressing his hope for everyone’s support and cooperation in building a civilised political culture.
