CM Bhatta directs security bodies for search, rescue of those missing after Rasuwa flood

SUDURPASCHIM: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim province Khagaraj Bhatta has instructed the security agencies to take the necessary initiatives for searching, rescuing, and rehabilitating the citizens of the province who have gone missing after the devastating flash flood in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.

He issued this directive in the security committee meeting convened this morning at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.

The Chief Minister gave instructions to ensure proper coordination to make the search and rescue operations for citizens who are unaccounted for in the affected areas more effective.

Chief Minister Bhatta has instructed the bodies concerned to adopt all possible measures and speed up the search and rescue operations, according to his secretariat.

The meeting decided to take necessary steps for the search, rescue, and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the Bhotekoshi flood.

It also decided to keep all security mechanisms on high alert and prepared, considering the possibility of floods and other disasters in the province.

In the meeting, discussions were also held on running effective campaigns to solve problems seen in the Nepal–India border area and control drug trafficking.
