KATHMANDU: The Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal has requested vehicles from its members across the country for the rescue and relief of the citizens affected by the Bhotekoshi flood.
The general secretary of the Federation, Shivhari Ghimire, issued a circular on Saturday and appealed to all members to provide vehicles such as minitrucks and pickups to help the flood victims.
In the statement, it is mentioned that the flood of Bhotekoshi has caused unimaginable human and material damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other districts.
In the current situation where the country is in great pain, it is the common responsibility of everyone to help from their respective places, the federation said.
The federation has clarified that there is a need for vehicles to deliver immediate relief materials and to rescue thousands of flood victims and take them to safe destinations in coordination with the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and other districts heavily affected by floods.
The members have been requested to provide vehicles like pick-up trucks and mini-trucks for this humanitarian work.
