SAPTARI: The Saptari District Administration Office has lifted the curfew imposed in Rajbiraj and Bodebarsain municipalities. Chief District Officer Shyam Krishna Thapa said the decision was taken at a meeting of the District Security Committee held on Sunday.
Although the curfew has been withdrawn, the administration has imposed a prohibitory order banning gatherings of more than five people, as well as public meetings, rallies, sit-ins and demonstrations.
In Rajbiraj Municipality, the order applies from Khado River in the east to Jamuni Thalahi on the Hulaki Highway in the west, from Basbitti on Rupani Road in the north to the Kosi West Main Canal in Bishnupur Rural Municipality in the south.
In Bodebarsain Municipality, the restriction covers the area from Khadka Bridge on the Hulaki Highway in the east to Pritampur Chowk in the west, from Negada Chowk in the north to Manraja Chowk in the south.
