KATHMANDU: Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Nepali Army Anup Jung Thapa is set to represent Nepal at the US Army Pacific (USARPAC) Land Forces Talks to be held in Hawaii, the United States.
The high-level military dialogue is scheduled to take place from August 10 to 12. Major General Anup Jung Thapa is in a line of future Chief of Army Staff-has been assigned to participate on behalf of the Nepali Army. The Land Forces Talks is a regular high-level military forum organized by the US Army and its partner nations. The event focuses on expanding bilateral military cooperation, joint military exercises, training, and capacity-building among participating land forces.
According to officials, the conference agenda also includes discussions on regional security challenges, the evolving security environment, and ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation among the armed forces of partner countries.
Major General Thapa’s participation is part of Nepal–US military relations as well as for the Nepal Army’s international military engagement.
