KATHMANDU: Authorities have urged residents and commuters along the Dhobi Khola corridor in Kathmandu to exercise high caution after water levels at the Kapan monitoring station crossed the alert threshold on Saturday evening.
According to a bulletin issued by the Flood Forecasting Division, heavy continuous monitoring indicates that the Dhobi Khola river is continuing to swell rapidly.
The division advised people living in vulnerable riverside settlements and travelers using the riverbank corridor to remain vigilant against potential sudden rises in water levels and localized inundation.
Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation as water flow remains on an upward trend.
