JANAKPURDHAM: Agricultural Inputs Company Limited, Dhanusha has started distributing regular quota of chemical fertilizers in the second phase.
The Dhanusa office of the Company began distributing DAP and urea as paddy transplantation reaches the final stage in Dhanusha and Mahottari districts.
As per the decision of the Madhes Province Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, 979 metric tons of DAP and 926 metric tons of urea have been distributed to Dhanusha and 931 metric tons of DAP and 880 metric tons of urea to Mahottari, shared Bechan Sah, Information Officer of Agricultural Materials Company Limited, Janakpurdham.
With the distribution of fertilizers, the shortage of fertilizers that existed in the district for some time is gradually being addressed. According to Sah, there is currently 2.6 metric tons of urea in stock at the Agricultural Materials Company Limited, Janakpurdham, Dhanusha.
He said that although there were some problems as the transportation of fertilizer could not be carried out for a few days due to the curfew and prohibitory orders issued by the local administrations after the incidents in Sunsari and Siraha, the transportation of fertilizer has gradually resumed and is reaching to the needy farmers.
