KATHMANDU: Nepal and Senegal have officially established diplomatic relations.
This milestone was marked today after Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and Senegalese Foreign Minister Sheikh Niang, both attending the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, signed a joint statement to formalize the partnership.
According to the Private Secretariat of the Foreign Minister, prior to the signing, the two ministers held a meeting where they exchanged views on various topics of mutual interest.
With this new development, Nepal’s diplomatic ties now extend to a total of 188 countries.
