KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is set to call on Indian industrialists to invest in Nepal today.
During his visit to India, Minister Wagle will address a roundtable discussion organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at its headquarters in New Delhi.
The program, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, will be chaired by CII President Dr. Suchitra K. Ella.
During the session, Minister Wagle will urge Indian industrialists to initiate new investments in Nepal and expand existing ones.
He is expected to clarify the government’s stance regarding investment-friendly legal stability, investment security, and the certainty of returns.
According to the confederation, approximately two dozen industrialists, including former CII president and ITC India chairman Sanjiv Puri, are expected to participate in the discussion with the Finance Minister.
