KATHMANDU: First lady Sabita Paudel offered prayers at the Pashupatinath temple on the occasion of Haritalika Teej. Paudel visited the temple on Monday to perform rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva. Following the prayers, she received tika and prasad from the temple priests.
Devotees have been gathering at Pashupatinath and other Shiva temples across the country since early Monday morning to mark the festival. Haritalika Teej is celebrated with great devotion by Hindu women who worship Shiva and Parvati, praying for happiness, peace and family prosperity.
