KATHMANDU: Five parliamentary committees will hold separate meetings today to deliberate on various legislative, development and oversight issues, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
The committees meeting today are the Finance Committee, International Relations and Tourism Committee, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, and Women and Social Development Committee.
The Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 9:30 am to discuss a report prepared by a subcommittee.
Similarly, the, International Relations and Tourism Committee will meet at 10:00 am to review proposed amendments to the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Preservation) Bill, 2081 together with the lawmakers who registered the amendments.
The Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, meeting at 11:00 am, will discuss the current use of organic and chemical fertilizers, the condition of soil health, and the prospects for sustainable agricultural development.
The Infrastructure Development Committee is also scheduled to meet at 10:00 am to discuss the report related to the water supply action plan.
Likewise, the Women and Social Development Committee will meet at 11:00 am to review the activities and progress of the National Dalit Commission.
