KATHMANDU: Heavy rainfall over the past few days has disrupted normal life in the lower Mustang region, while the upper Mustang region has experienced snowfall.
A flood in a stream passing through Lupra village in Baragung Muktichhetra Rural Municipality-1 has caused damage to several properties.
The village, situated in a steep mountain gorge, saw floodwaters enter residential areas, damaging five houses and one monastery. The incident followed heavy rains that affected the local terrain.
Meanwhile, the upper Mustang region, specifically the Lomanthang area, has been experiencing snowfall since Saturday night.
The surrounding landscape has turned white due to the accumulation of snow. The snowfall has led to a significant drop in temperatures and disrupted daily life for local residents in the high-altitude region.
