KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for Sunday, with the US dollar set at Rs 152.39 for buying and Rs 152.99 for selling.
The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one euro at Rs 176.06 and the selling rate at Rs 176.75. The British pound sterling stands at Rs 206.11 for buying and Rs 206.92 for selling, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 187.40 and Rs 188.13, respectively.
Similarly, the Australian dollar has been set at Rs 107.82 for buying and Rs 108.24 for selling. The corresponding rates for the Canadian dollar are Rs 109.72 and Rs 110.15, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 119.13 and Rs 119.60.
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen is valued at Rs 9.58 for buying and Rs 9.61 for selling. One Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 22.60 and Rs 22.69, while one Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 40.59 and Rs 40.75. The buying and selling rates for one Qatari riyal are Rs 41.82 and Rs 41.98, respectively.
The buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.60 and the selling rate is Rs 4.61. One UAE dirham is fixed at Rs 41.49 and Rs 41.66, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.30 and Rs 37.44. Similarly, 100 South Korean won is valued at Rs 10.79 for buying and Rs 10.83 for selling.
The Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 15.98 for buying and Rs 16.05 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.55 and Rs 23.64, respectively.
Among other currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is fixed at Rs 19.42 for buying and Rs 19.50 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 495.98 and Rs 497.93, while the Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 404.21 and Rs 405.80. The buying and selling rates for the Omani rial are Rs 395.80 and Rs 397.36.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for both buying and selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank said the rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It added that commercial banks may offer different exchange rates, with the latest rates available through the central bank’s website.
