KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal has returned home after attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.
He returned home this morning after participating in the United Nations General Assembly and various high-level programmes and bilateral meetings held on the occasion.
Foreign Minister Khanal had left here for New York on September 20. During the visit, Minister Khanal organized a high-level special climate-focused programme on behalf of Nepal called ‘Sagarmatha to the Sea: A Call to Action for a Climate-Resilient Future,’ and also participated in bilateral meetings and met with counterparts from various countries to discuss a range of topics on mutual interest.
It has been said that his active participation, meetings, and discussions during the visit were very effective in enhancing the country’s image and reputation on the international stage.
