KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and property caused by the earthquake on Indonesia’s Flores Island.
Stating that Nepal, having experienced the devastation of earthquakes, understands the pain and suffering caused by natural disasters, Minister Khanal expressed solidarity and sympathy on behalf of the Government of Nepal and the Nepalese people to the Indonesian government and its people through social media.
“The Government of Nepal and the Nepalese people express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives in the earthquake and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” he wrote on X, wishing for the safety, rescue, relief, and rapid rehabilitation of all those affected, missing, and displaced by the earthquake.
